What fun we had, so lucky we had great weather :) I remember one year long ago, it rained, the sun came out, and it also hailed...throughout Sports Day! That has always been my measure, it's a great Sports Day as long as not all 3 weather conditions fall upon us ;)

*we walked the field today to understand what and where wewill be for Sports Day tomorrow

* Read The Very Hungry Caterpillar as a class together * worked on our writing and WOW goals * We did a group build and draw. Working together and collaborating is hard. We did a great job of this. * Met up with our buddies and showed them our writing and they read to us * Our Friends sheet went home. *we watched a time laspe (and read subtitles) caterpillar to butterfly *we released 5 butterflies. At home, take the time to watch something in nature i.e. a bird eating berries, ducks swimming THis would be a great opportunity to find calmness and appreciation for nature. It is also a great time to ask questions and learn. *we made a small for Dads *we worked on collaboration teams this afternoon: Mrs. B. chose the groups, we had to make certain that everyone in the team spoke, we planned a design and then created a track for our marble using a variety of materials. We will continue with this project next week. NO SCHOOL *Keira was the helper

* We spent some time outside with Mrs Mackenzie and Mrs Sherlock while the new kindies came for a visit * Went through our writing journals and picked our best writing. Talked about why we picked the writing we did. What made our writing good. How we have improved and what we have been working on. * We have a butterfly! * Read to self - remembering what this feels like and sounds like. There are many ways to read a book when we are not sure of the words * Read a non- fiction story about butterflies and caterpillars * learned that most caterpillars have 6 arms and 10 leg which make 16, and some have tiny horns that protect them from predators * one week is 7 days, two weeks is 14 days * Directed shark crayon drawing with watercolour painting * computers *Madi was the helper

You will notice your child's art also has their own QR code. If you have a smart phone, blackberry, ipad, etc. download for free an app called QR scan. Open it and scan over the black square (QR code) and it will bring you to a link and press it and then it will play your child's voice talking about their art work. *we visited Mrs Sherlock in the library and listened to a story with amazing puppets, we voted on our chocolate Lily favourite book, and we received a special chocolate treat *Tushar was the helper
